For shareholders

Preparing your shares for trading

Your shares are yours. To trade them, they need to exist electronically and be linked to your own brokerage account. The four steps below are how that happens.

The path

The four steps

  1. Step 1: The Bank registers your shares electronically

The Bank migrates existing shareholdings from the share register into an issuer-side account at the CSD.

    Who does it
Enat Bank and the Central Securities Depository
    How long
    No action required from you
    Done when
Your holding exists electronically at the CSD, in an inactive issuer-side account.

  2. Step 2: Open a brokerage account

Open an account with an ECMA-licensed broker or dealer that is a registered CSD Participant.

    Who does it
    You
    What to bring
    • A valid government-issued photo identification
    • Your Enat Bank share certificate or shareholder number
    • Proof of address and a passport-size photograph
    How long
    Varies by broker
    Done when
You hold an active brokerage account with a CSD Participant.

  3. Step 3: Submit a Dematerialisation Request Form

Your broker submits the form to the Registrar, which verifies your holding and moves it from the issuer-side record into your brokerage account.

    Who does it
    You, through your broker
    What to bring
    • The completed Dematerialisation Request Form
    • Your original share certificate, where one was issued
    How long
    Subject to Registrar verification
    Done when
The Registrar has verified your holding and credited it to your account.

  4. Step 4: Your shares are activated for trading

Your holding sits in your own brokerage account and can be held, transferred, pledged or traded.

    Who does it
    Central Securities Depository
    How long
    Complete
    Done when
You can instruct your broker to trade.

If you do nothing

Shares left in the issuer-side account cannot be sold, transferred or pledged.

Holdings that remain unlinked to a brokerage account may face further restrictions. Your ownership is not affected, and your dividend and voting rights are unchanged.
