Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed between Enat Bank and the Private Enterprise Program Ethiopia (PEPE) at Enat’s Head Office on May 29/2014. |
The objective of the MoU is to inculcate saving habits, to improve women’s economic situations, through trainings that enables them to make informed financial decisions.
While signing the agreement the President of Enat Bank, Ato Wondwossen Teshome, stressed the importance of the agreement and said, “Building women’s financial literacy is one among the milestones stipulated by the Bank. And we look forward to this partnership to the achievement of this objective.”
On the part of PEPE, Dr Max Goldensohn, Senior Advisor for Special Projects noted that, “Enabling women to make informed financial decisions is the goal of this cooperation. And, we are happy to be working towards this end with you.”
V/President of Enat Bank, W/ro Birtukan G/Egzi also noted the imporatance of this agreement to the customer segment it is aimed at, and added that “We are happy today, because after hard work & repeated discussions we have finally attained to concretize it.”
This MoU will remain in force for the next three years; and is believed that the cooperation between the parties will lead to mutual recognition of women empowerment through increasing their saving habits, by developing innovative, women-friendly educational tools and delivery mechanism.
